The ultimate Victoria Falls thrill: perched on the lip of the falls, Devil's Pool is a natural rock pool where you can swim right to the edge of a 100-metre drop, held back only by a rocky rim. The trip crosses to the Zambian side and takes a short boat ride to Livingstone Island, where guides lead you into the pool for an experience found nowhere else on earth. Usually paired with refreshments on the island. Seasonal - the pool is only safe to swim when water levels are low, typically around mid-August to mid-January (dates vary year to year).

Things to know
This itinerary crosses an international border. Carry a valid passport (six months remaining validity) and any visa required for your nationality. Border posts can add waiting time. Devil's Pool is strictly seasonal and only operates at low water (approx. mid-August to mid-January); exact dates depend on the Zambezi's flow. Participants must be confident swimmers and in good health. Access is from the Zambian side via Livingstone Island.
